Sounds of the City, Vol 1—A Neo-Soul Compilation
Are you a singer or musician? Do you know a great artist who needs exposure? If so, this opportunity is for you. As part of our magazine release on October 4, PULL Magazine will release a compilation album consisting of the original works of independent neo-soul artists.
The compilation will be mixed by D.J Dommy “Huge Deal” Styles and available for free download at MixtapesInc.com the week of our magazine release. The purpose of the compilation album is exposure for the artists and PULL Magazine; we are seeking artists to submit their original music for a 12-song song Neo-Soul compilation album. The artists must understand that the compilation will not be sold for profit and is free to the public to download and disseminate.
Submission Rules:
PRINT FOR YOUR RECORDS
For an artist and/or band to be considered for the compilation, you must submit your original music to PULL Magazine by emailing the MP3 to music@pullmag.com. Applicants are asked to submit a maximum of two songs along with a photo and description about yourself and your music. All music is due by Aug. 22, 2010.
From Aug 23-Sept. 5, your music will be posted on our blog (http://www.blogs.pullmag.com) our blog readers will select the Top-12 songs to place on the compilation.
General Agreement
By emailing your MP3 to PULL Magazine, you give PULL Magazine, MixtapesInc.com, and ImAHugeDeal.com permission to copy, distribute and post your original music on each respective website. You also give PULL Magazine, MixtapesInc.com and ImAHugeDeal.com the right to disseminate your music to our readers in form of a downloadable compilation as well as compact disc. We agree to give you full attribution for your work including Name and Song Title for your music.
